Dear Jason

Thank you for your email of 17il December regarding Domestic Violence provision for men in

I would like to assure you that the Mayor is committed to tackling domestic violence and ensuring
that all victims have access to the support they need.
Issues of this nature are dealt with by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). MOPAC
currently fund some services to support male victims, for example the three London Havens which
are jointly commissioned by the MPS and the NHS and offer a service to all victims of rape and
serious sexual assault.
MOPAC has recently launched a review into victims’ services led by Baroness Newlove. This review
will help us to understand the needs of victims and will inform future commissioning of services for
victims across the capital.
There are agencies in London which the Mayor works with closely, such as Refuge, which offer
support to male and female victims of domestic violence. Advice relating to this can be found here:

Thank you again for your correspondence and for taking an interest in what is a very serious issue.
Yours sincerely,
Jam Lemom
